Classic Paper airplane

Rudder or Fins in Paper Airplane assists aircraft to attain a straight flight, Also the holding part of the plane which is called FUSELAGE also helps the plane going straight. If your Rudder is too small or bent it can even make a best paper airplane to Spin and Crash. Initial launches always go well with whatever the minor mistakes present in a Paper plane design. But, When it loses half of its thrust given by your throw, it starts to deviate from its path. Classic dart is a classic example for Clean and neat design, with their smaller frontal nose weight adds up an advantage for the Airplanes to fly in the proper direction. Let’s dive into the fun of making classic dart paper airplane.

Two minutes for Noodles! isn’t it? Three minutes for Paper planes! It’s that simple with liftndrift*

Supplies Required:

  • A4 Sheet of Paper or a Foolscap Paper with 70-90 GSM

  • Bring the Nose down to the straight line – If the height from the bottom of the straight line matches the height of below the triangle (Refer Fig.3 “X” distance)
  • Once it matches fold them

Step 4:

  • Bring the Top Right-hand edge and Top Left-hand edge to the centre crease line and fold it to make a triangle
  • Compare Fig.4 and Fig.5

Step 5:

  • Fold the Top Nose with half the length of the bottom cap triangle (Check X distances)
  • Also, Fold the Bottom triangle to make a lock as shown in Fig.5
  • Don’t forget to compare Fig.5 and Fig.6

Classic Paper airplane Flying Technique:

  • Hold the Plane behind the centre of the plane’s gravity point.
  • Keep your left foot slightly forward and launch it in 30 – 40 degrees angle, throw it steadily with a medium force. If it fails, tweak the tail wing slightly up and try again.
  • Try different angles and forces now! Wow, That’s how one learns properly with more trying and flying. Kudos!
