Fatty | Paper airplane mammoth

Paper planes are always seen as a diversion from the stressful adulthood, a quick dive into classroom fun, Sometimes a curious drive to invent some brilliant flight design. Anyone for that matter it adds levity to the stressful lifestyle or ends up teaching Rocket science to one. Now, we are gonna try a fatty plane which is basically a Glider by nature! C’mon let’s try making this to find out!

Two minutes for Noodles! isn’t it? Three minutes for Paper planes! It’s that simple with liftndrift*

Supplies Required:

  • A4 Sheet of Paper or a Foolscap Paper with 70-90 GSM
  • Ruler or Flat thick object to flatten the folded edges to make a strong crease.

Step 1:

  • Keep the A4 sheet in Portrait mode over your work table or flat floor
  • Fold the lower right section edge ‘A’ to the left side edge line and match it straight without doing any mismatch
  • Fold the Corner ‘B’ over to the other corner as you did for A
  • Crease the fold properly and unfold! For reference see the Fig.1

Step 2:

  • Now, you need to fold the Corners A and B to match and meet the crease upside

Step 3:

  • In this step of fatty, you have to make sure this crease is made crisp to ensure a better flight.
  • And Unfold it now

Step 4:

  • Push the paper inward like the arrows hitting the on both left and right sides to the upside – gently and softly
  • The lower section automatically meets the centre

Make More! and Fly More!

Fatty flying technique:

  • Keep your left foot slightly forward and launch it in 30 – 40 degrees angle, throw it steadily with a medium force. If it fails, tweak the tail wing slightly up and try again.
  • Try different angles and forces now! Wow, That’s how one learns properly with more trying and flying. Kudos!
