SPACESHIP

Our Real Airplane wings are basically mounted slightly tilted upwards. The higher pressure is created under the tilted wings giving the airplane the LIFT. So, the more the wing is tilted – the more lift is produced on the wings. But, if it reaches the critical angle which is tilting more than the critical level leads the airplane slows down or stalls, thus creating a drag on the Airplane. When you launch a Paper Airplane your launching angle and position are important to achieve the most successful flight. Spaceship paper airplane has a fin design that basically helps them to separate air into two half thus allowing the airplane to travel in the air with better stability and uniform direction…

Two minutes for Noodles! isn’t it? Three minutes for Paper planes! It’s that simple with liftndrift*

Supplies Required:

  • A4 Sheet of Paper or a Foolscap Paper with 70-90 GSM
  • Ruler or Flat thick object to flatten the folded edges to make a strong crease.

Step 1:

  • The first step is keeping your paper horizontal — orientation over a table or over a flat surface
  • Fold it from left to right and UNFOLD

Step 2:

  • Bring the Top Right-hand edge and Top Left-hand edge to the center crease and fold the spaceship paper airplane

Step 3:

  • Now Lift up the flaps on both sides of the previous fold and match the diagonal edges
  • Compare Fig.3 and Fig.4

Step 4:

  • Fold the Nose down to the length which is remaining on the top undisturbed
  • Refer to Fig.4 for Nose fold length

Step 5:

Step 6:

  • Fold the Bottom central Straight section to match up the Wing’s diagonal bottom section
  • Complicated? Check the Fig.6 and Fig.7

Step 7:

  • Check Fig.7 You have to UNFOLD the previous fold and you have to push the section you folded previously inside the wing
  • Compare Fig.7 and Fig.8

Step 8:

  • Now, check Fig.11, The dotted lines are traveling from (Left-hand side nose triangle is divided into 1/3rd and the right-hand side is at the bottom)
  • Fold them down to make the wings and do the same for another side of the wing

Step 9:

  • Fold the Fin into half and Push fold it inside just as shown in Fig.9
  • Compare Fig.9 and Fig.10

Step 10:

  • Spaceship paper airplane is a good plane that can travel straight and can be travel smoothly in the air
  • All the best for your safe Flight!

Spaceship flying Technique:

Hold the Plane behind the center of the plane’s gravity centre
Keep your left foot slightly forward and launch it at a 30 – 40 degrees angle, and throw it steadily with a medium force. If it fails, tweak the tail wing slightly up and try again.
Try different angles and forces now! Wow, That’s how one learns properly with more trying and flying. Kudos!
